Few Things Remain the Same as They Were 60 Years Ago
So much of what happens in our lives today was only the stuff of comic books and science fiction in the 1950s. Cell phones, microwaves, personal computers and flat screen televisions were not even dreamed of in those days.
And certainly not much in Clairemont is as it was 60 years ago. Our neighborhoods were just a few years old, but growing rapidly. There was no Clairemont Square, and San Diegans were just learning about how to incorporate retail and shopping into a suburban community. There are almost no stores or businesses still operating in Clairemont from that time.
One thing that is the same, however, is Clairemont Hilltoppers Little League. When the first game was played in 1957, no one could have known of the legacy that was being started. In the six decades since, thousands and thousands of kids have played in this league. It has been part of the fabric of the Clairemont community, serving kids and families of Clairemont, and creating bonds which often last a lifetime.
On March 5, 2016, Clairemont Hilltoppers Little League will be celebrating the start of its 60th Anniversary year. Big doings are planned to mark this signature season. The league would love to have all of its alumni to be part of this celebration, and share memories and stories from their time in the league.

The process all begins with signups on Saturday, December 5th and 12th at Cadman Park from 10 am to 1 pm
