Madison Warhawks Sink Mar Vista Mariners for CIF Title

Behind the performance of Dylana Guyon, among others, the top-seeded Madison Lady Warhawks (15-8) subdued the second-seeded Mar Vista Lady Mariners (16-11) by a final score of 25-19, 25-19, and 25-12, to capture their first C.I.F. San Diego Section Division V girls volleyball championship in school history in a match played on the campus of the Canyon Crest Academy on Friday evening, November 20.

Guyon, a five-foot-eight-inch junior outside hitter, topped the Lady Warhawks with six kills, a block, and four aces.

Meanwhile, Madison’s Janai Crisostomo added four kills, a block, and an ace, and Kiana Hervaux had four kills and two aces for the Lady Warhawks.

Playing in the John Hannon Memorial Gymnasium on Madison’s campus, the Lady Warhawks speared the Chula Vista Lady Spartans in the quarterfinals and clawed the Mount Miguel Lady Matadors before  submarining the Lady Mariners in the finals.
