For those travelling I-8 to/from Arizona this Holiday season:
Caltrans crews closed one lane of westbound Interstate 8 (I-8) between Harold C. Giss Parkway and Sidewinder Road to repair a bridge expansion joint over the Colorado River. The lane closure will begin in Yuma and cross over into California and will be in place through late January.
Motorists may experience delays. Signs have been placed in advance of the closure and motorists are asked to allow extra time while travelling through this area.
