Bay Park Church to Pack 15,000 Meals for the Hungry

Pioneer Ocean View United Church of Christ on Track to Pack 15,000 Meals for Hungry

1 in 5 children living in San Diego are at risk of hunger, according to Feeding America San Diego.  Pioneer Ocean View United Church of Christ, located off Clairemont Drive, plans to do something about it.

On September 12th, from 9:30-12, members and friends of Pioneer Ocean View United Church of Christ will team up with international non-profit organization “Feeding Children Everywhere” to pack 15,000 nutritious meals for local families

Since the beginning of the year, the church has been raising money to pay for the food and packaging supplies that will be used during the event. In addition to money raised by the church, organizers received a grant from the Clairemont Town Council that will also help pay for supplies.
