Public Utilities Department Staff will be On-Site for Bill Review and to Address Ratepayers’ Concerns
PR: In response to the recent flood of District 6 residents receiving higher-than-normal water bills, Councilmember Chris Cate will be hosting an informational forum with the City’s Public Utilities Department to help provide residents with answers. The public forum will be held on Thursday, February 15th, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Mira Mesa Senior Center.
Anyone with questions or concerns about their water bill, regardless of their bill amount, are encouraged to attend and bring their two (2) most recent water bills for review. There is no appointment necessary.
“While I appreciate the Public Utilities Department working swiftly to investigate the multitude of higher-than-normal water bills in my district, ratepayers in my district still have unresolved issues. This public forum will allow residents the opportunity to ask the water department questions about their bill, have their account reviewed on-site, and understand their water bill and the billing structure,” stated Councilmember Chris Cate.
