PR: San Diego County Crime Stoppers and investigators from the San Diego Police Department’s Sex Crimes Unit are asking for the public’s help in identifying and locating an unknown suspect wanted for sexual assault.
On August 13, 2016, at approximately 10:30 p.m., an adult female was walking through the parking structure toward her residence in the Venetian Apartments, located at 3929 Nobel Drive, in San Diego. Approximately halfway through the parking structure, the victim noticed that she was being followed by an unidentified Black male.
The male followed the victim to her apartment. As she unlocked her door, the suspect knocked her to the ground. The suspect then displayed a black handgun and demanded money from the victim. The victim complied. The suspect began to choke the victim and forced her into her apartment. The suspect sexually assaulted the victim inside the apartment and then fled the area in an unknown direction.
Suspect’s Description:
The suspect is described as a Black male, approximately 25 to 30-years-old, 5’9” to 5’11” tall, 180 lbs, with a medium or athletic build. The suspect had short black hair and a short black beard. The suspect was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, gray shorts with red stripes on the sides, and black sneakers. The suspect was also carrying a black backpack.
