A fatal two car head on collision occurred this morning on Clairemont Mesa Blvd between Clairemont Drive & Pocahontas Ave.
A red mini SUV was apparently traveling west bound on Clairemont Mesa Blvd and judging from the scene a Volkswagen Bug was travelling east crossed over a couple lanes hitting the mini SUV head on.
The driver of the SUV was taken away in an ambulance and the VW driver was pronounced deceased at the scene.
