Every autumn, St. Mark’s United Methodist Church holds its Annual Digital Art Show. Stunning images grace the walls of the massive sanctuary now through November 21.
Everyone is welcome to view the free art exhibit at 3502 Clairemont Drive, Saturdays 10:00 am to 4:00 pm, or by calling the church office to visit during the week.
Digital art represents anything that uses a computer to create it, such as photos taken with digital camera. Juror Larry Baza of Noel-Baza Fine Arts has selected the following cash award recipients: First place to John Valois, Middletown; second place, Joe Nalven, Poway; third place, Ron Hilley, Hillcrest.
Among San Diego area Honorable Mention awards is Clairemont resident, Kris Nieder.
This year’s exhibit includes Youth Division art for the first time. First place winner, and Clairemont resident, Thomas Fitzmaurice, entered art titled “Niagara Falls.”
Other youth award recipients include Clairemont residents Justin DiProfio (second place), and Honorable Mention awards to Erin and Joey Murphy.
The exhibit includes 28 works by 15 artists using the theme “Reveal the Peace.” Come and find your favorite image and enjoy the bold blue windows of the St. Mark’s sanctuary.
