via City of San Diego Current schedules project that traffic control setup and pipeline installation will begin at the intersection of Clairemont Drive and Denver Street in late May. This will be the first portion of work to install the new conveyance pipelines as part of the project.
The first stage of this work involves setting up traffic control to give crews a safe space to work. The traffic control plans are still under review, and once they are finalized and approved another email will be sent outlining the specifics of what will be set up.
That said, the traffic control will allow one travel lane to be maintained in each direction, and businesses and residences will have access to their driveways if they’re located in the work zone. Bus stops located within the work zone will be temporarily relocated as-needed. For your safety and the safety of the crews, please follow all posted signage when you’re in the work zone.
Once the traffic control is in place, crews will begin to trench into the roadway and install the new pipeline underneath the road. Within the work zone, please expect noise, dust, and construction equipment to be staged. As crews make progress on installing new pipeline, the traffic control elements will be moved along with the work headed eastward on Clairemont Drive.
Day work hours will be from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
If needed, night work hours will be from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.
Construction notices are posted on morena.purewatersd.org.
