The suspect’s vehicle was described as a tan or gold colored four door sedan, possibly a Honda or Toyota. At this time the motive for the incident is still under investigation.

The victim has been identified as 16-year old Carlos Valdovinos.

Based on information developed during the investigation, 20-year old Andy PHONSONGKHAM was identified as a suspect. PHONSONGKHAM was arrested later the same evening and booked into San Diego County jail for the murder.
