Open Model Call at Mesa College

For Mesa College Golden Scissors Fashion Show

Aspiring runway models ages five through young adult are welcome to an open model call going on now through Thursday at San Diego Mesa College in Kearny Mesa.

Selected models will take to the runway on Friday, May 8th at the college’s 34th Golden Scissors Fashion Show wearing more than 100 original designs, conceived and constructed by fashion design students.

Models of all sizes and all levels of experience are welcome. Dress code is fitted tank top or t-shirt in black or white; fresh faces with no make-up. Women should wear three-inch heels and no sneakers, sandals or slippers. Interested persons should show up at the Model Call table outside Building B-100 at Mesa College now through Thursday, April 16. Hours are: 1 to 6 p.m. on Wednesday, and between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Thursday. Free parking is available in the A Overflow Parking Lot, walk towards the Art Gallery.

Themed Mother Earth, the May 8th fashion show features one-of-a-kind collections from budding designers at San Diego Mesa College. Open to the general public, the evening opens with a silent auction and student exhibits.
