Maya, a 5-year-old American Staffordshire Terrier mix, is looking for a new home. She’s been nicknamed “Marvelous Maya” for her sweet temperament and smile that will brighten anyone’s day. She’s a playful gal who would love to accompany her new family on fun adventures like long walks, trips to the beach, or camping/hiking. She is also very smart and would love to continue with positive reinforcement training to keep her mind sharp. Maya is a quick learner and very eager to please her humans.
Maya has had a bit of a rough start in life and is ready for a nice family to show her the love she’s been missing. After she was found by our humane law team tethered in a backyard without shelter, food or water, sweet Maya has impressed her caregivers with her forgiving nature and exuberance for life. Because of her past, Maya would do best as the only animal in the home with adults or older children.
Her adoption fee includes her spay, current vaccinations, permanent microchip identification, 30 days of worry-free medical insurance from Trupanion Insurance, a certificate for a free veterinary exam, and a license is residing in Oceanside, Vista, Escondido, San Marcos or Poway!
