J. Nevin Kleege, Local Bay Park Business Owner & Morena Business Association President Throws His Support Behind Kevin Faulconer for Mayor

By J. Nevin Kleege

As President of the Morena Business Association, I’ve had the opportunity to work with Kevin Faulconer for several years. Thanks to Kevin’s leadership, our organization and community has thrived.

Fortunately for us, Kevin is just as passionate about fixing complex issues as he is about fixing the simple things. From finding solutions to big issues like the City’s pension system, protecting our environment and passing legislation to foster the creation of middle class jobs, to tackling every day issues like fixing potholes, streamlining city permitting, and repairing our aging sewer and water lines, Kevin has been there for us.

Kevin brings people together. I’ve witnessed Kevin bring small business needs and environmental needs together to protect our local economy, wetlands and waterfront. Kevin also supports a fiscally responsible government so our hard earned tax dollars are spent on programs that improve our lives, like parks, libraries and after-school programs.

Kevin also supports the programs that we voters passed at the ballot box. He supports competitive bidding without preferential treatment for special interest groups or political agendas. At the same time, he supports San Diego communities, business districts, small businesses, our environment, bike and walking paths. As well as improving our infrastructure and the betterment of San Diego, our community and their futures.

Over the years, I’ve learned a lot about Kevin, and I know that he knows what San Diego needs and how to lead it forward. As someone who has lived in Clairemont since 1961, attended Clairemont schools as a child, and has a mother who still lives in the same very house in Clairemont, I know our community, and I know it will be better with Kevin Faulconer as mayor. This City needs Kevin. I urge you to vote for Kevin Faulconer on Tuesday, February 11.
