Closures will take place on Interstate 5 (I-5) and State Route 52 (SR-52) connector ramps for four consecutive nights beginning Monday for paving work, according to Caltrans. Detours will be posted.
The following connectors and ramps will be closed from 10pm to 5am
Monday
Westbound SR-52 connector ramps to northbound and southbound I-5 La Jolla Parkway on-ramp to southbound I-5 On-ramps at Genesee Avenue and Regents Road to westbound SR-52
Tuesday
La Jolla Parkway on-ramp to southbound SR-52 Southbound I-5 connector ramp to southbound SR-52
Wednesday
Northbound I-5 connector ramp to eastbound SR-52, Westbound SR-52 off-ramp La Jolla Parkway, Northbound I-5 off-ramp to La Jolla Parkway
Thursday
La Jolla Parkway on-ramp to southbound I-5, La Jolla Parkway on-ramp to eastbound SR-52
The maintenance project will replace pavement on the connectors with 1,000 tons of rubberized asphalt each night. This material is much more flexible and durable than other asphalt treatments and will reduce sound.
Motorists are reminded to slow down when driving through highway work zones.
