Help Kids Start the School Year Right

Michaels Stores Are Collecting School Supplies For Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater San Diego

SAN DIEGO (Monday, August 13, 2013) – Too many kids in our community are falling behind in school – and life – before they even get started. They need basic supplies, like pens and notebooks, to succeed in school and build a great future.

As back-to-school approaches, The Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater San Diego is pleased to participate in a National Supply Drive to help our kids start the school year right. The National Supply Drive is an in-store and virtual call for school supply donations to prepare Club members for academic success.

From August 5, you can help put needed school supplies in the hands of our youth by donating supplies in local Michael’s store collection bins or visiting www.greatfutures.org/backtoschool.

“We are proud to partner with Boys & Girls Clubs to give kids the needed school supplies to better handle their workload and succeed academically,” said, Michaels Stores, Inc. Chief Executive Officer, Chuck Rubin.  “At Michaels, we believe in making a difference in the lives of our associates and customers by supporting organizations with a strong focus on families and children.”
