This cool old plane is coming to Gillespie Field this weekend.  February 26th to March 1st

From 1926 through 1933 Ford Motor Company built 199 Tri-Motors with EAA’s model 4-AT-E being the 146th off the assembly line! The Ford Tri-Motor has served as Eastern Air Transport (Island Airlines), Cubana Airlines, as a barnstormer, and on the big screen for the Jerry Lewis comedy, The Family Jewels.

Join us for an unforgettable experience aboard one of the few remaining airworthy Ford Tri-Motors in the world. You won’t want to miss the “Tin Goose” when it visits an airport near you!

Climb aboard one of the first mass-produced airliners and step back in time to aviation’s golden age. A flight on EAA’s Ford Tri-Motor is a flight back to an era where air travel was considered a luxury.
