Truck/Bike Collision on Morena Blvd via SDPD

Synopsis:
P-1 in this collision was a 67 year old Hispanic male. He was driving a white 2004 Toyota Tundra pick-up truck N/B on 2000 Morena Blvd.

P-2 was a 27 year old white male who was riding a black “Beach Cruiser” style bicycle. He was riding his bicycle N/B along the right side of the roadway, 2000 Morena Blvd, and was towing a second black bicycle by holding it with his right hand. Neither bicycle was equipped with reflectors or lights.

P-1 Struck P-2 in the roadway. P-2 sustained serious injuries and was transported to an area hospital by paramedics. P-2 sustained a severe head injury, which is considered life-threatening.

Drugs or alcohol are not considered a factor in the collision. SDPD Traffic officers and Detectives responded to the scene and are conducting the investigation.
