Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Choir

Come hear the wonderful sound of The Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Choir of San Diego. This is a traditional gospel choir singing songs with spiritual meaning and heart-filled sound. Their mission is to raise funds for educational grants for San Diego County high school seniors pursuing a college degree in visual or performing arts. Stephanie Trick and Paolo Alderighi

Pioneers in the use of four-hands jazz piano, Stephanie Trick and Paolo Alderighi have earned widespread success with their arrangements of classics from the stride piano, ragtime, boogie-woogie repertoires, and the swing era. It is unusual to hear a piano duet played by four hands on one piano. This husband and wife duo manage the near impossible feat as it's never been done. New City Sinfonia

Now in its 33rd season, the 40-member New City Sinfonia presents free orchestra concerts to the San Diego Community each year. Come hear this vibrant community orchestra as it returns to St. Mark’s with a program highlighting music by French composers. The featured work will be the powerful Symphony No. 3 (the “Organ Symphony”) of Camille Saint-Saëns. Fauré Requiem

Gabriel Fauré composed his Requiem in D minor, Op. 48, between 1887 and 1890. The choral-orchestral setting of the shortened Catholic Mass for the Dead in Latin is the best-known of his large works. Its focus is on eternal rest and consolation. The St. Mark’s Chancel Choir, soloists, and orchestra ensemble will present this work along with other selections for the Lenten season. Spring Ring

Music from the four bell choirs at St. Mark’s, including Hallelujah Chimes, Peace Ringers, Glory Ringers and Carillon Choir, will fill the air during their annual Spring Ring. Members of the bell program range in age from third grade to adult. There is a large variety of wonderful music for bells that may not be suitable for worship services.
